Can I view the auction items in person?

Yes, items will be available to view during Olivet's Homecoming and Family Weekend in Benner Library. They will be on the main floor of Benner Library on Wednesday, October 15, through Saturday, October 18, when the auction concludes. If you would like to see an item before that, please reach out to University Archives Department.

Does the bidding stop exactly at 2pm on Saturday, October 18th?

The auction is scheduled to end at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18th, but please note we have an automatic extension in place. If a new bid is placed within the final minute, the bidding time on that item will automatically extend by 1 additional minute. This continues until no new bids are placed in the last minute. This is typically called popcorn bidding.

You can view full details about each silent auction item online. Once you access the auction, just click on the image or the title of any item to see its full description, current bids, and other details. When the items are on display in person, you can also scan the QR code posted with each item to go straight to that item’s online page.

How will I receive my item from the auction?

The preferred method would be to pick up the item yourself after the auction ends, shortly after 2 pm on Saturday, October 18, 2025. If someone else is picking up your item, you will need to make prior arrangements before the auction ends from the email used to bid. In some cases, items may be shipped for an additional fee.

Why are we having the auction?
