Website Outage Options

If you are on this page, Olivet is probably experiencing a server outage - making the library website or library resources temporarily unavailable. Please choose one of the options below:


Benner Library logo Option 1: Official Library Website Always choose this option when available.
Backup Site Logo Option 2: Backup Library Website Only use this option temporarily if the library website is not loading.
Authentication system down Option 3: Emergency eResource Login Only use this option for database login issues.

    This option is to be used when there is an authentication (Open Athens) outage or an individual situation. Patrons must contact a library staff member for login credentials to EBSCO & ProQuest (located in Passwords). Never assume that a service is back up if it works on campus. It is possible that access off campus may still be down.

Option 4 Logo Option 4: Emergency eResource Access Only use this option if eResources do not load on expected pages.

    The A-Z eResources page includes most of our eResources. If an eresource has been added or removed within a day or two this page may not reflect those changes. The A-Z eResources page will not work if our Informatics Apps databases are down. Go to Option 3 in this case. Never assume that a service is back up and working if it works on campus. It is possible that access off campus may still be down.

*If you cannot login to ONU eResources during an IT Scheduled Maintenance weekend, use Option 3 temporarily.
