Off Campus Access
To Web-Based Library Research Databases
Under the heading "Find Books & Articles," click on "Library Databases."
Click on the name of a database that you want to search.
If you are off campus, the login page will pop up.
Enter your webmail username and password when you are prompted for them.
Your webmail username is usually the first letter of your first name and the first 7 letters of your last name. If you have 7 letters or less in your last name, it will include your entire last name. A number or two may be added at the end. For example, Jane Doe might be "jdoe" or "jdoe5".
If you still cannot figure out your username call the IT help desk at 815-939-5302 and ask them for your webmail username.
Security warnings may pop up - answer in the affirmative.
Once you've been authenticated, the database search page should display.
